Lindsey S. Mignano and Ernest Hammond III of Twilio moderated a community-based panel entitled "Mental Health and Well-Being: A timely discussion for Black and Asian communities in light of police brutality and hate crimes/incidents" for the Bar Association of San Francisco and Blacks in Technology, among numerous sponsor firms and minority bar associations. The three panelists and psychologists, Drs. Allison Briscoe-Smith, Grace Niu, and Uche Ukuku, discussed issues such as processing police brutality against Africans and African Americans and rising hate crimes/incidents against Asian Americans; how to talk to children about processing these types of events without traumatizing them; and when a person of color experiencing trauma from these events should reach out to a licensed psychologist for help.
