Neda Shapourian advises emerging and small businesses on corporate formation, seed fundraising, venture capital finance, and strategic exits. She founded the firm's cannabis practice group in 2017 which supports both "touch the plant" and ancillary businesses on corporate structuring, licensing and regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, and strategic risk management. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco's Cannabis, Alcohol, and Regulated Industries Barristers Section and frequently serves on panels to speak about legal issues facing the Cannabis community.
Before founding Smith Shapourian Mignano, Neda worked at boutique litigation firm gaining experience in the areas of real estate, products liability, construction, and premises liability.
Neda lives in San Francisco with her husband, two sons, and rescue dog, Max. In her free time she can usually be found climbing rocks, running for fun, baking pies, and/or tossing a frisbee at Baker Beach.
She has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40.
